Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I am driven and passionate about playing soccer. I am focused and learn from every game and my teammates. Playing soccer has given me confidence, drive and determination that I am able to accomplish anything that I focus on and give my full attention to. I have been able to maintain my GPA, keeping it at a 4.0 or higher. Playing sports is a gift that I don't take for granted. I volunteer at my elementary school as a basketball assistant coach and an assistant softball coach. I hope to share my passion for sports with athletes that want to reach their fullest potential.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I like that I am able to encourage my teammates during practice and games. By showing my support, it let's them know that we are working together at a game that we all enjoy and want to excel at. I have had the opportunity to volunteer for a variety of non-profits. Though volunteering, I am able to spend time with people I may not come into contact on a daily basis. I can share my time and get to know others and it gives me a sense of pride to help others in need. I am glad to be able to help people....someday, I may be in the same situation.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I have had the pleasure of volunteering for multiple organizations to help the homeless and families in need. To graduate from St. Charles Borromeo, my K-8 Catholic School, 8th graders are required to graduate with a total of 40 service hours. For one of my service hour projects, I made hygiene bags for the homeless for the House of Charity, I have distributed diapers and wipes, for Project Baby Bottoms, my mom's non-profit, made meals at Feed My Starving Children and donated money ($1.88) to Caring and Sharing Hands as a Kindergartner. The priest at my school, Immaculate Conception School wrote an article about me in the Sunday Bulletin for my act of giving. Helping people is important to me because I am fortunate to have a good life. If I can make someone's life a little better by helping them, that makes me happy.
