Team was down 35-0 at halftime to Mechanicsburg and the coach stated that he gave up on the team for the game and to just ride it out. As a football player for 12 years, this pissed me off more than anything in the world. I gave a speech to the team to inspire then and to motivate them from the huge drop in confidence.
Off the field I love helping out people in the weight room, both mentally and physically. I address the underclassmen with Leadership during their last reps, making sure that they do the best in the room. Also, I love giving others tips on how to be a better player and student on/off the field.
Overcoming unhealthy habits is difficult to do, so I do my best to avoid them and put the classroom first. Missing a week of school due to acl recovery is the most unhealthy thing that I have ever done in my life, and my grades reflect on it. I love watching film at home and studying college and nfl football players to learn new techniques. Also, I try to get with coaches during the season and in the offseason to become a better player. This also applies to school work. Dieting and lifting is VITAL to my success. I will strive to make everybody on the team better than myself.
I believe in that if you do nice things for others, they will return the favor. I'm involved in little jobs (Letting dogs out, taking care of kids, coaching youth football).
