Personal Highlights

LEADERSHIP
I was head chair in creating an all teen Fear Factor event at the South West Valley YMCA as well as creating a haunted house for the YMCA's halloween festival. I was in the inaugural Y2L (Youth Leadership to the second Degree) Leadership training class. in which I graduated from the class and the next I had to organize and administer. I was selected by the city of Goodyear to help give a speech on why Goodyear should be named the All-American city in the All-American city competition that was held in Tampa, Florida (we did end up winning the competition). I am my high school girl's Cross Country Captain Senior year and Track and Field Captain my Junior and Senior year. I also achieved the award of the 2008 Track Tiger of the Year. And the cross country award of the most improved runner in 2009. As well as the 2007 AIA Scholar Athlete of the year. Including the 2008 cross country 1st Place All Region Woman runner of the year.
VOLUNTEER
I am a volunteer in the South West Valley YMCA Teen Action Council, I am the councils first member. I volunteer at the Goodyear Tres Rios Nature Festival. I help pack food for the Salvation Army. I volunteer for the Goodyear ABC's 123 day care program. I am a volunteer sports trainer at my high school. Every Christmas I decorate Christmas tree ornaments for the woman’s shelter. Every summer I volunteer as a swim instructor at the South West Valley YMCA. Christmas time comes and I’m a volunteer at Goodyear’s “Christmas in the Park” event where I take family photos and help children decorate cookies. Around Arizona there are numerous events called the “G.A.I.N” event I volunteer at where I control the traffic flow. For this coming up year, I have numerous volunteer activities planned.
