I recieved a varsity letter as a freshman and sophmore on the indoor track team. My sophmore year I was on my schools shuttle hurdles team which placed fourth in the D4 MIAA State Relay meet. |
When I practice I am always one of the last ones to leave. When all the other hurdlers have left I always keep going because I know it will make me that much better. After I am done a speed workout or hurdling I usually go lift weights for half an hour to an hour. My coach says that I am one of the hardest workers he has seen in a long time and expects me to be breaking records my seinor year. |
My freshman year i recieved the coaches award for my hard work and dedication. I recieved this same award my sophmore year. I have recieved two varsity letters from outdoor track and am planning to earn two more. My sophmore I qualified for the MIAA Central All Class Meet in the pole vault and was just short of qualifying in the 110m Hurdles. I placed in many meets including dual, league, district, and relay meets. My Junior year I qualified for the MIAA Central All Class meet in pole vault, 110 hurdles, 400 hurdles, triple jump, and missed by a foot in discus but due to a hip injury I under performed at the meet. At the Central Mass Decathlon I placed 14th with 4768 even on a strained hip. |
My freshman and sophmore year I competed in the District E Decathlon. My first year I scored a little under 3000 points, my second year I scored 4122 points, 4768 my junior year, and my seinor year I want to break the school record of 5500. I also plan to break the pole vault record of 13'02.00" . I have improved a lot since freshman year and hope to improve more over my seinor year and another four years if I have the oppurtunity to run in college. |

Personal
I didn't start competing in track until I was in the 8th grade, but it was not until my freshman and sophmore years when I found the events I wanted to do. Those events are the 55m hurdles, 110m hurdles, 400m hurdles, polevault, javelin, high jump, and the decathlon. I also play soccer for my high school and will be captain my seinor year.
