Personal Highlights

Freshman year I was 5'10 and played the pg position. I just started my growth spurt sophomore year and now at the end of my junior year I am 6'5. I played the small forward and power forward for my high school team this year. I can play a variety of positions since I have played point guard all of my life and am now learning to play the 3-5 positions as well. I have played a variety of sports including: baseball, soccer, and volleyball which has helped me with my agility as well as other things. At my High School i played basketball and was a pitcher on the baseball team. My dad is 6'8 and my mom is 6' so there is a chance I may continue to grow. I work hard in the classroom and on the basketball court. I live by the saying "What hurts more the pain of hard work or the pain of regretting you did not work hard enough." I will always give 100% in what I do. Most importantly I am a true student athlete I have an overall GPA of 3.8 and that is in the most challenging honors and AP classes I was able to take each year.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I was co-captian of my high school varsity basketball team and I provided leadership off the court by working hard to attain good grades, work on my athletic skills consistently off the court, and making good decisions peers.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Healthy athletic performance is taking care of my body daily by eating right, working hard to prepare my body for competition, and staying away from alcohol, steroids, and leisure drugs.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I have volunteered as a coach, referee, and scorekeeper with Synergy Basketball and with Sandlot Baseball as a youth coach/mentor. These are both youth for Christ outreach programs in my community. This year I volunteered to feed the homeless and as a youth helper for the 3rd/4th grade Sunday school class at my church. These are important to me because many people were there for me when I was younger and I feel it's important that I serve in our community as I get older.
