Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I work as a lifeguard to earn college money.
I also have served as Junior coach for summer team.
I provide swim lessons to teach young kids to swim.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I cross train to build core strength.
I also eat a very nutritious diet that emphasizes fruit, veggies, and lean protein, balanced with other healthy carbs.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am involved in Special Olympics. I have been since 8th grade. Assist with their swim meet. Also served as volunteer for winter swim. Because I love this sport, I want to give back.
