2014 Season Golf Honors:
Had a great run in the fall as I helped my team advance to the state championships with rounds of 80 and 79 in the sectional and district tournaments respectively. Playing in very difficult conditions and a 6,000 yard OSU Gray golf course I finished up with 87 and an 81. I have already set a goal to finish in the top 5 in 2016.
Jackson Girls Varsity Golf team placed 2nd in the State Tournament for D1 schools in Columbus 2014. Team shot 628 and lost to Dublin Jerome who shot 626, won by 2 strokes. My back nine score of 38 on the Gray Course was the lowest back nine score for the tournament.
I am planning on playing in a good number of Golfweek two day events and several national events in 2016. I am a very competitive person, I have a very good temperament, and knowledge of the game. My father is a PGA Professional and has taught me a lot about what it takes to play at the college level. My ability to hit the ball up to 240 yards will definitely help playing the longer courses at the college level. My dedication to the short game in the upcoming season will be a key to lowering my scores to the mid 70's. I am very confident that I will continue to improve and will be a tremendous asset to a college golf program in the future.
