Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I show up early and set up the pool for practice. When the coaches are not able to show up to practice on time, they ask me to help start practice. Having seven younger cousins, all boys, it is important to me that I set a positive example as they look up to me as the oldest.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I workout outside of practice, including daily weight training. I also focus on eating well and keeping a positive attitude in and outside of the pool. I also encourage others on my team on a daily basis.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I teach swim lessons in my community because I believe it is important to learn how to swim. It saves lives in the water. I also teach water polo to children, I like working with children and encouraging them. They look up to me, so I lead by example in my performance in and out of the pool.
