Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I have been playing soccer since I was 4 and from day one all I wanted to do was win. When the other girls were chasing butterflies, I was going all out for the ball. I still love the game and I love to compete! Thru broken bones, stitches and minor injuries - I still can't get enough! Playing at the college level would be the ultimate.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I am currently the Captain of my club soccer team. I enjoy leading drills and being the loudest communicator on the field. I am the oldest player on the team and have been working with many of the newest players to ensure they feel welcome and included.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I stay very active by eating healthy, getting as much sleep as possible and mentally preparing especially for big games - using visualization, self talk and watching video footage of games.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I volunteer at the local elementary school working with the kindergarten teacher/kids 3 days a week thru CCC. I have also helped at the school Fall Carnival. This year I got to participate in the Joni & Friends Wheelchair Drive to refurbish locally donated wheelchairs to be given to people who can't afford them. I also enjoy volunteering at Harvesters sorting donated food for local food pantries because we do that as a family!
