Personal Highlights

I am a 2 sport athlete. I swim in the Summer, Fall, & Winter and run Track in the Spring.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I have demonstrated leadership by teaching younger children at my church and providing a good example to them.
I have also helped motivate other members of sport teams by encouraging them to work hard by always working hard myself and always having the desire to do my best. I try to be a leader by always trying my hardest and always encouraging my teammates to do the same.
I help to instruct the younger children on our summer swim team and try to cheer for them as well because they look up to the older swimmers.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I try to maintain a good balance between athletics and academics. As a two sport athlete in two very physically demanding sports, I have to be very good at time management and prioritization. I try to eat a well balanced diet and I try to get some rest when I can. It is also very important to me that I train properly which means weight training especially during swimming in addition to my regular swimming work outs.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

Key Club Member x 4 years (A community service club at my school) I have over a 150 hours of community service logged.
Volunteer at church including Student Leader and Teaching Assistant for Religious Education for Elementary aged children. I have also served as a Camp Leader several times at my church.
I am currently training to be a Kairos leader which is a 4 day religious retreat for Juniors and Seniors in High School.
My sister and I founded a charity called "Cans 4 Critters" where we collected cans and donated the money to the Humane Society.
