Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Since the day I started wrestling, I was in love with the sport. I enjoy wrestling and strive to continuously get better. I cannot imagine my life without wrestling in it in some way. I have been asked by the Olympic Training Center to stay and train after I graduate high school. However, before I go down the Olympic Path, I feel I have much more to learn from wrestling and overall life. I would still keep my Greco practice during off season as I do want to be an Olympian one day.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I continue to do extra work in wrestling so that I can one get better but also set an example for others on my team. I was team captain of Air Academy wrestling in my first year at the school. Off the mat, I work with younger kids to get them interested in the sport.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Grades come first. I make sure my grades are high enough so that I can travel for wrestling. I do not drink, smoke, or do any type of drugs. This is not the case with most of my peers. I try to surround myself with others who agree with me on these issues.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I have spent a significant amount of time working with the Cheyenne Mountain Wrestling Club and Rocky Mountain Wrestling Club trying to build the sport of wrestling and get younger wrestlers more involved and excited. I help with the training of the younger kids. I was awarded the opportunity by District 20 to promote the sport for our school district and try and get younger students to be involved in sports at the high school level.
