"Gracie is not only the best teammate a person could ask for, but she is a strong, servant leader. She is good at what she does, yet she remains humble. I believe this makes her playing and leading abilities that much better. She is very dependable, loyal, and passionate about lacrosse and is an all around great player: both offensive and defensive. Gracie is the epitome of a, “game changer,” that being said, she is crucial to any team. No matter what team, she gives 110%, and leaves her mark." - Teammate Lauren Craig, Class of 2017

"Gracie Bell is one of the best athletes I know. For her, lacrosse isn’t just a sport, it is her passion. The passion she has for this sport is obvious to anyone she meets. She’s the reason I started playing and I will forever be grateful. Gracie is not only a strong player athletically, her ability to lead a team is incredible. She excels at any position she plays and brings a fighting edge to any team she plays for. Any team would be lucky to have Gracie as a player, teammate, and leader."
- Teammate Taylor Andrews, Class of 2017

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

On the field, I am a large, positive voice to my fellow teammates. I am a huge believer in the fact that no one will take anything you say to heart if it’s negative. That being said, I make it my goal to life my teammates up always, even for the little things. Off the field, I work with a group called Girl Talk, an association in which high school girls mentor middle school girls. I am the head leader for 8th grade girls, meaning I am in charge of not only those middle schoolers, but the rest of the 8th grade leaders as well. Leadership has always proved to be rewarding to me and it comes naturally when others are willing to listen.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I grew up doing community service with my dad because of his Rotary club. Since then, I’ve developed a passion for helping others. I work a lot with a food pantry and kitchen at a downtown church, volunteer at lacrosse clinics for younger girls, and worked on multiple house repairs among other efforts and work. All of my service is important to me because of the humbling feeling it brings upon me and reminds me to be thankful for what I have, but also give back what I can.
