Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I have always dreamed and seen myself in college doing what I’ve always loved doing since the 7th grade which was track. I never had a “hurdle” track coach in Jr.High that never stopped me. I came to the high school each and every day to train with the big guys. I push myself to greatness, now it’s time to make it official because this is what I want to do with my life and my career. I trained and I plan on continuing to train and competing past high school. I waited so long for this chapter of my life to come. I just really want to further my education and my track career. I’m so excited because it’s finally here and it is now time to find some where to make it officially!

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

Well for starters I am team captain for the Track Team (2017-present), Cross country (2017-Present), and even the Soccer team (2017-Present). I am also chaplain since the beginning of 2017. I was president my sophomore year and then became parliamentarian my junior year. I am also a FCA leader and head "Prayer at the Pole leader". Outside of school I am a deacon at my church, choir president, and also usher board president. During my spare time after track practice I coach the junior high kids. I take great pride in what I do for others because I believe helping other instead of only caring about myself.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

The ways I can pursue having “healthy athletic performance” as a student athlete is by keeping a mindset to becoming the great athlete and continuing to reach my goals. Knowing that there are some “bad” races, I learned to look past it and review my mistakes and make all the changes that is needed. There is no use to sit back and complain about it, because there’s nothing being improved. I believe in improvement nothing is impossible for the possible.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am involved with a lot of services throughout my community. I have been to and worked many events such as the concession at football, soccer and basketball games. I worked and set up many beneficial fundraising walks that donated to help cure sicknesses suck a heart and lungs. Also I spend many hours at church helping clean, set up events, serving, and even going out in the community to hand out boxes of food. Sometimes I even go and cut and clean members yards. There’s much more I have all my services filed. These services that I do for my community gives great joy to my heart because it allows me to know that I am giving back to everyone by the smile on their face.
