To whom it may concern,

As a software developer at HAPPY Software, hockey coach for CP Dynamo, as well as a scout for the
Chicago Steel, I'm writing to you in support of Thomas McKiernan and his desire to attend Prep School with the intention of competing with varsity hockey club. l've had the opportunity to coach
Mr. McKiernan during the 2014-L5 hockey season.

During the 2014-15 season, Thomas encountered a hampering injury. Due to a growth spurt, he was faced with the enlargement of the head of the femur, which in turn cause inflammation of the hip joint. This affected Thomas for half the season. He never complained, despite the obvious pain, and was able to not only play through the inflammation, but was our top center, our most physical player, and our second leading goal scorer. The passion he brought to the game and what he played through at a high level inspired our team.

Thomas' characteristic traits are his focus, effort, physical play and willingness to do whatever
needs to be done for the betterment of the team. He has developed into a power forward. As a
center, he brings size and strength to the middle of the ice. His leadership qualities are displayed
by his effort and preparation on and off the ice. He has the ability to change the direction of the
game with a hard check or a strong finish at the net. I believe Thomas to be a great asset to any team on and off the ice. His personality and work ethic, alongside his strength and skill would make a valuable addition to your locker room.

Yours truly,
Kris Tebbs
