I love the game of basketball. My dream is to play in college. I have a good personality and I’m very coachable. I put in my all 24/7 when it comes to basketball and regardless of my role I do something that helps the team win, even if I’m not scoring.
On the court I am a leader because I am a team player who doesn’t let my emotions get the best of me. I put in 100% every time I touch the court and I lead by example. I have good habits and can help teammates out when they are down or they are doing something wrong. That being said I myself am very open to constructive criticism. In the classroom I am a student anyone can come to for questions and help. I am very polite to the teacher and work extra hard to make sure I have a firm understanding of the material being taught to me.
One major way I pursue “healthy athletic performance” is by keeping a healthy diet. I avoid junk food and drinks and try to eat balanced meals that are healthy. I also work very hard everyday to improve my basketball skills. On top of that I am in the gym lifting in conditioning constantly. However I make sure to have the correct amount of rest so I am able to fully recover and stay at my peak performance.
I have been a part of the peer meditation club in my school for 4 years. In this club I have assisted in many different community service events which include food drives, clothes drives, Pulsura Project, etc. I have a part time job at Six Flags as well. These efforts are very important to me because I like to be as close to the community and hope to give back by volunteering and helping out. I want to one day be able to give a lot to the community I grew up in.
