Personal Highlights

Michaela entered into Lowell High School in Lowell MA, September 2015.

Michaela is a strong, assertive, goal oriented student and athlete. She strives to achieve good grades in class and give all she's got on the court/field.

Michaela started team sports when she was in 3rd grade. She opted out of Cheerleading and decided to follow her brother’s footsteps playing Pop Warner football. Michaela was a strong defensive end and offensive lineman for the 5 years she played. She also played baseball from minor league through junior league where she played 1st base and center field. Her teams went on to play in the championship, winning one year and coming in 2nd the next.

Michaela began basketball for school in 5th grade. She was one of 2 girls from the 5th grade selected to be on the team. She continued to be a valuable player and in 8th grade was selected to be one of the team captains leading the girls into the city championship where they were defeated by just 1 point in overtime. Michaela was the top scorer on her team.

In 6th grade Michaela tried her hand at travel basketball and fell in love which led her to try out for a spot on the local AAU team. She continues to go strong playing against girls her age as well as playing against upper classmen.

Fall 2015:
Michaela took on a new sport, Field Hockey! She enjoyed the challenge and was excited to learn. She was selected as captain of the freshman team and also played JV. She continued to play basketball for AAU as well.

Michaela was the only Freshman to make the Varsity basketball team. Although she still has a lot to learn, she is working hard, earning her play time, and proving to be a valuable addition to the team.

Fall 2016:
Michaela is still going strong with Field Hockey and enjoying it. She's been trying out new positions but her favorite, currently, is as a middie.

Michaela continues to play for the New England Rebels AAU team. She plays on both the 10th and 11th grade teams and has proven to be a strong asset to both. She is excited to partake in the upcoming college showcase on October 29th.

Micheala was awarded MVP by her coaches for AAU. She was described as "hard working and the top rebounder on both the 10th & 11th grade teams".

High School tryouts are over and Michaela has again made the varsity roster. She earned herself a substantial amount of playtime in the scrimmages. Games begin Sunday 12/11. We are excited to see what the season has in store for her.

Fall 2017:
Michaela has opted out of playing field hockey this fall to focus conditioning for basketball and keeping her grades up. Practices just started for the fall AAU season and she's getting extra time in the gym whenever she can. Very excited to see what this season brings. She's looking stronger than ever.

Very excited to announce that Michaela's hard work in school is paying off. She has been selected to become a member of the Merrimack Valley Chapter of the National Honor Society at Lowell High School.

High School Basketball is done for the season. The team as a whole had a great run and made it the semifinals. Michaela was a starter for most games on a varsity team with 8 seniors. She earned her play time and averaged approximately 8 points and 10 rebounds per game. Her hard work and dedication has payed off as she has been named one of the captains for the 2018-2019 season. She is now on to Spring AAU. First tournament coming the weekend of April 7th at the Hall of Fame Tip Off in Springfield MA.

SENIOR YEAR!! (Fall 2018)
Michaela is off to a busy start. She is playing in the high school fall league, getting time in the gym, keeping her grades up, working as a Lifeguard at the local YMCA, and most recently is volunteering on and playing with the new Unified Basketball team which has just been added at Lowell High School.
