I have always wanted to play sports in College as I am a competitor and feel most comfortable on the court or on the football field. I believe my skill sets in either basketball or football can help a team succeed to the next level. I am a team player and feel that any spot I am given will help me and my team grow. I also am motivated to play college sports in order to get an education so I can build a career beyond college for myself and whatever my future might bring.
On the field, I lead by example and encourage others around me to play harder and compete. I do my best to motivate my teammates when they make a good play to stay in the game as well as when a bad play occurs, doing my best to keep them pumped up.
Off the field, in the classroom, I do my best to maintain good relationships with my teachers. I always introduce myself on the first day and ensure that they know I am there to do my best in the classroom. I am attentive, ask questions and do my best to encourage others who might be on group assignments or projects to deliver the best possible result given our assignment.
I focus my energies on both the classroom and in the weight room. I do my best to get my homework and studies done in a timely manner in order to get enough rest in the evening to maintain my focus in the classroom and at practices. Additionally, I enjoy hitting the weight room a few times a week to keep in shape for the season and to reduce injury. I have progressed in my strength conditioning during the day and on several weekends to ensure I am more physical and continue growing as my roles change and in situations where my positions change in order to perform to the best of my abilities. I enjoy studying the game, reviewing game film and learning more than just the physical side of playing but also the mental side as well.
I have been involved with Habitat for Humanity for the last year. Especially the "Nails It" project for Southeast OH. This program is meant for restoration of previously built homes for the less fortunate, needing repairs. My goal this year is to join "Key Club" to help in helping others and social events in the community. I have recently volunteered to assist my father in a few events doing fundraisers for his Rotary club.
