Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I spend my Saturday mornings coaching an acrobatics class for 3-8 to translate into possible diving careers at my club, the Woodlands Diving Academy. At home, I spend time tutoring my little brother and helping him with projects for school. In school, I am a part of the student leadership team responsible for inspiring the school to remain optimistic about our faith and the school in general.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I make sure to use the time allowed for practice at the gym and in the water most efficiently. Also, maintain a rigorous weight lifting schedule using 1-2 hours 2-3 times a week to maintain and increase strength. I also see the importance of maintaining a healthy diet for optimal athletic performance.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I take part in many in school and out of school service projects. These works of charity allow for my time to be spent off of my own troubles and focus on those of others. This greatly influences my appreciation for the gifts I have received. Some charity works include work at Reach Unlimitted, a home for the mentally and physically disabled, putting together care packages for the homeless at the Co-Cathedral in Houston, and work in St. Anne Catholic Church community garden.
