Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Baseball has always been the love of my life. I started playing ball as soon as I could hold a bat. I work every day to improve my game so that I can have the fantastic opportunity of playing the sport I love for a longer time. I do not want to stop playing baseball when I graduate, I want to play it for as long as I possibly can.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I am the starting varsity catcher on our baseball team and was last year as well. As the catcher, I am responsible for setting the field according to each batter and to lead the other players to the best plays possible. Off the field I have always been a leader to all of my friends and my fellow classmates. I have never drank alcohol or smoked in my life and if I ever hear of one of my players doing something dangerous like that I take care of it immediately.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I pursue "healthy athletic performance" by taking care of my body and mind as well as I can. I ice after every single game and after every practice to keep my arm healthy and strong. I attend zero-hour weights four times a week to build muscle mass but I am always careful to perform my lifts correctly and safely. I eat right and stay on a strict nutritional diet to always be at my best. Also I perform my best at school every day to keep my mind sharp.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am in my community's National Honor Society chapter and have been for a year now. I sing at the nursing home and play the piano for them every once in a while. Helping my community is very important to me because, in a small town, involvement into other people's lives is very important.
