Personal Highlights

My name is Natalija Pumpurs and I absolutely love to swim, row, and learn new things. I am a committed swimmer and I train hard at every practice and am very focused on my education. I am currently in the Class of 2019 at Potomac Senior High School and have always been on the honor roll with a current GPA of 4.0.

I would love to have the opportunity to major in Engineering. I have been swimming competitively ever since age nine. The reason I love swimming is because I enjoy the loyal relationships and am looking forward to the chance to swim in college and competing at a high level. There is nothing I love more than the feeling of conquering a challenge and racing my friends. Swimming has taught me to work hard and strive for my goals.

Being a committed swimmer and a member of the high school varsity crew team has taught me great team building skills and makes me very good at time management which I think is a very important skill to have when it comes to being a college athlete. I have always had the strong desire to pursue my educational goals while being a collegiate athlete and I can assure you that I will always work hard. I am extremely motivated and eager to be a part of a great sports team in college. I consider myself a team player and am very coachable which makes me a good candidate because I am always willing to improve and achieve more. Although swimming is an important aspect of my life and I currently compete in multiple sports, I still keep abreast of my school work, maintain strong grades and consider academics my long-term priority. I hope to lead a successful life, which is why I will work my hardest to be the best all-around student-athlete for the school that accepts me.
