Prairie vs Weldona link. I am #13 on the blue/yellow side
I want to show my love of volleyball to everyone! This sport has given me a pride I could never get anywhere else. When I was you be a coach told me I wasn't good enough and I am going to prove her wrong! I may not be the best but I am passionate and I love being on the court and how I feel when I play. I want those little girls watching me to see what a true athele is and that even if they my not be the best you still play with heart and you'll feel like the best!
One example of leadership on the court is I am always cheering for everyone, whether they make a mistake or make a point, C team, JV or Varsity, it doesn't matter. You will always here me cheering for them. Off the court, one example would have to be Making a presentation for the 6th - 9th graders about eating disorders. I had started to notice less and less amounts some of the younger girls were eating every week. I decided since the school wasn't doing anything about it I would. I spent a week on the presentation and then went into each classroom (With the approval of the counsler and Principal) and presented to them, girls and boys, about this problem. I answered all of their questions carefully and sincerly. One question a girl asked is "Why did you make this and come to us?" And my answer was "I truly really care about everyone in our tiny community and want everyone to be safe and heathly. I told them that if any of them needed anything that I was always available. A couple days after presenting I had 4 girls come and talk to me. That doesn't seem like a lot but to me it was huge. I got the chance to counsel them and help them get better.
In FFA, the officers and team all clean the highway in our town, we serve coffee to the Local Farmers, We cook a huge dinner for the teachers, and much more. These efforts are important to me because it lets our community know that our school cares, that Everyone in the community is important and that they are appreciated!
