Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I would like to be recruited to play sports in college because I can't imagine not having field hockey in my life after high school. Field hockey has provided me with opportunities that I wouldn't have had otherwise, and it has allowed me to really find who I am and build close friendships. Playing sports in college would allow me to enjoy doing what I love most in a competitive environment while getting an education and making my 4 years of the college the best years possible.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I have demonstrated leadership both on and off the field in multiple ways. On the field, I was the captain of the JV team my freshman year and throughout my sophomore and junior year I was someone who the underclassman came to for support and advice. Off the field and in the academic areas, I am the Vice President of the student council at my school and and I volunteer at a summer camp for a week every summer where I am a counselor and role model for 10 younger girls, and I help them and keep them safe so everyone can have an amazing week!

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am involved in service in my community because I participate in a youth group at my church and we volunteer at soup kitchens, go on mission trips to places like Philadelphia, South Dakota, and Boston, and we run local food and clothing drives in the community. I also work at the Salvation Army soup kitchen with my family and I am a member of multiple clubs at my school. For example I am apart of Students Against Destructive Decisions, Interact, Bobcat Pride Organization, the student council, Interact club, and the National
Honor Society. All of these clubs focus on bettering the school and community and strengthening our important skills in making healthy decisions and leadership.
