Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I would like to be recruited because I have worked extremely hard to be where I am today athletically and academically. I feel as if all that hard work and dedication should be rewarded with being able to play collegiate level sports.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I have been the treasurer of my class since sophomore year. In my junior year, I was the vice president of student council. I have been the president of the Interact Club for all four years of high school. Also, I have the varisty team captain since sophomore year.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

As a part of pursuing a healthy lifestyle, I pack meals every day that are packed with protein such as fresh meat and cheese. I always keep nuts and fresh vegetables in my locker for myself and my teammates. Most importantly, I keep a refillable water bottle with me at all times. I fill it up about five times a day if I can. If I forget my water bottle or if one of my teammates need water, I also keep a pack of water in the back of the car at all times.
As a part of staying active, I work out four days a week at Planet Fitness for an hour in the morning. For two days, I just run at home. On Sundays, my team has optional workouts at the gym together where I attend most times.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I have been the president of Interact Club since freshman year. The Interact Club is a national club based on service above self. With the Interact Club, I have fed the homeless once a month for three years, helped greatly with the Alzheimer's Association, sung at nursing homes, among many other things. I also volunteer to help with elementary children after school. We play basketball and other things after school hours for three days a week.
