Playing field hockey since 2006-present
I wish to be recruited so that way I may be able to continue to grow my passion and love for field hockey. I will constantly challenge, put forth maximum effort, and dedicate myself on going to practices, growing as a player, and competing in various events. Moreover, I would love to form part of a team that could eventually be regarded as a family.
I have gone out and coached little kids around my community, ages 4-7, teaching them how to play sports such as field hockey and soccer.
I pursue "healthy athletic performance" by having excellent time management skills, being able to practice and work out multiple hours a week while still being able to keep up my grades. I am highly committed and dedicated to field hockey, as well as school. Equally important, I eat healthy foods in order to keep my body in good shape.
I am actively part of our school club, Interact, which is a community service club. Here, along with other students, I participate in school clean ups, donate Christmas presents to children in need, and volunteer at various walks and bike riding events.
I also volunteer at my field hockey club, where I help coach the little ones and set up the drills.
In addition, I volunteer during the summer at Doral Soccer Club as an assistant coach.
Furthermore, I form part of NHS (National Honors Society), a school club, where we participate in many activities such as Leukemia walks, beach clean ups and the general fixing up of our high school, in which we painted some classrooms.
Also, I participate in SNHS (Spanish National Honors Society), a school club which has given me the opportunity to go our local Ronald McDonald House and cook for their various patients, donate jeans for less fortunate people, and make cards for the Veterans and homeless.
In SNHS (Science National Honors Society), I have contributed baked goods to help raise funds for a prosthetic limb and have tutored fellow students in Biology.
Moreover, I am a part of SOS (Support Our Sports), a school club which encourages students to go to games and cheer our friends on as we compete against various high schools.
Being a volunteer is extremely important to me because I love helping others and making my community a better place. It is important to give back to the community that I have grown up in, for without this very community, I wouldn't be the person I am today.
