Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I want to be recruited to play basketball in college because I simply love the game. I have always had a desire to play competitively and that passion continues to escalate. I love the game.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I demonstrated leadership in the classroom during our school project. I was placed in a group with four other people I did not know. I made a group chat with all of my group members and told them who should do what and made sure to remind them when it was due. I showed leadership in basketball by running drills with little kids. I frequently lead the drills during Higher Level basketball clinics. I tell all the kids what the drill is and I encourage them during the drill.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Healthy athletic performance is important to my overall accomplishment as a successful student-athlete. Without good grades, I could not play basketball. My academic and athletic performance are high priorities and I work hard to ensure I give 110% effort. My current GPA is 3.92. My highest academic award is the "Presidential Award" for academic excellence. I work hard during every practice and I train regularly on my own with a personal trainer. This is how I pursue a "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I'm involved in my community because it gives me the opportunity to help others. When we work together as a team, my community is more productive. I participate in community service efforts in support of "Action In Community Through Service" (ACTS) People Helping People. I purchase, prepare, and serve breakfast to in-house residents. Sometimes I purchase and delivered cleaning supplies and preform other duties (mop the floor, take the garbage out, stock the pantry, etc...) when asked.
