Ice Hockey Honors

November 2011: Currently in my fourth year with the Lasalle Vipers Jr B hockey team.

November 2010: Currently in my third year with the Lasalle Vipers Jr B hockey team. I am now the second line center getting lots of ice time. I am averaging over 1 point per game so far this season. I am also ranked in the top 20 of the entire 25 team league with 32 points.

June 2010: I was chosen for our teams MOST IMPROVED hockey award.

Current 2010 Playoffs: As of May 7, 2010, We won FINAL series 4-1 for the Sutherland Cup GOJHL JR. B Championships. I have 4 goals and 5 assists in the last nine games including the round robin round. I was 1st star of the second game of Finals. I was the 3rd star of the first game of the round robin.

On April 11, 2010 we won the W.O. C. Championship of the GOJHL JR B. League. We are now 3 teams in round robin for Ontario championship Sutherland Cup.

I have 11 points in 17 games. I was the second star of the game in the first game of the FINALS. In March 2010, I was 1st star of game once and 2nd star once in back to back games in the second round of playoffs against Chatham Maroons. I am still consistently winning about 75% of my faceoffs. My coach has great confidence in me late in the games.

I had a solid 2009-2010 regular season with an average of over one point a game. 50 points in 44 games. I am a very consistent player. Most importantly, my coach has shown great confidence in my play because i am often playing those crucial final minutes of close games.

An honor that i just received on Wednesday January 7th, 2010 is being invited to play in the 2010 GOJHL PROSPECTS game held on January 18, 2010 in Fort Erie Ontario. I am the only player from my team selected. Two teams of players are selected from the whole GOJHL which consists of 25 teams. All the players selected are NCAA eligible. As quoted from the GOJHL website "...The Top Prospects game features the best student athletes in the Ontario Hockey Association's Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League.... it was developed as a way to create awareness and opportunity for the extremely talented selected players of the GOJHL...."

I scored 1 goal and got 1 assist in the GOJHL prospect game on January 18, 2010.

Also recently, on December 20th 2009, i was named 1st star of the game after scoring a hat trick and getting 1 assist in a 7-0 victory. Also on December 16th, 2009, i was again named first star of the game after getting 1 goal and 1 assist. At another point this year I was named 1st Star of the game 2 times in a row. I was also named 2nd star once and 3rd star twice.

My position is center. One of my strengths is winning the majority of key face offs. I have always been told that I am a smart player on the ice with great positioning. I can anticipate the play very well.

This has been an exciting year for me so far. It all started back in August of 2009, when I was invited to the Canadian Junior Hockey Memorial Cup Champions Windsor Spitfires main training camp where I played in 4 scrimmages and recorded 4 points.

I am currently playing in my second year with the Lasalle Vipers Jr. B hockey team. We are affiliated with the above mentioned Windsor Spitfires.

In my rookie season last year, as a 16 year old, I won the SPORTMANSHIP AWARD. It was an honor because there were only 6 team awards presented. I am proud of this award.
