Tournament Descriptions

At the tournament during my first match the kid added extra pressure and broke my Scaphoid in half. I scored 9 points. Although my Scaphoid was hurting a lot I wrestled a second match and pinned the kid with an Armbar in 1 minute and 44 seconds.

Wrestling Honors

Our wrestling team was sectional and district champions for many consecutive years now. We are the number one team in our D1AA OCC conference. We got 3rd at states with 8 guys making it to states. We have been undefeated this year and last year.

Wrestling Additional

In terms of Wrestling I am not the best but when I get on the mat I don't give up and fight hard. Most of the matches I have wrestled this year haven't been in my favor but I scored 4-9 points in almost every match.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I enjoy wrestling and am working hard to take it to the next level. I love competing and the wrestling mat is where I give it my all.I want my legacy to be that I started freshman year as a first time wrestler and worked my way into college wrestling with dedication, commitment and hard work.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I help out by leading some of my churches service projects such as feeding the people in the homeless shelter and our yearly Christmas carols. On the mat I give it all I have and help out younger wrestlers with technique or just simple pointers. I am a junior so I have to be a role model for the under class men.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I constantly work on my grades and practicing my wrestling. Even if I am hurt I will still work so I can get better but I will go lightly. I eat healthy and only allow 2 or 3 cheat days a month. I work out a lot whenever I can so I will be strong coming into the next year of wrestling. I make sure I shower everyday after practice so I don't catch diseases and get others sick. I always make sure my athletic performance is at its best by controlling small things that impact it.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

In my community I go to a Indian church where we devote our time to helping feed the homeless, packaging food for different places and every year do Christmas Carols for the nursing home and men's homeless shelter. I enjoy doing these things and I feel happy when I make people happy.
