I want to be recruited to play basketball in college because it help me become a stronger team player in the future and that will help me in the workforce later in my career. And equally important, playing college basketball will leave me with friends and memories that will last a life time.
From past teams I've played for I'm the one always taking a leadership role and guiding my team to victory, by being positive, supportive, vocal, and competitive. I lead by example by working hard before and after practice. Off the court I organize team bonding activities to strengthen our team chemistry, by going out to eat, having sleepovers, and making sure we are all having fun.
To be physically strong you have to be strong mentality. Knowing there are no obstacle that can get in your way of what you can achieve is important. Also by keeping a positive attitude can really help your performance.
Aside from basketball I help out at a retirement home for people who struggle with memory. I really enjoy talking to the residents living there and making them feel happy.
