I love the sport of softball. I love feeling the rush of adrenaline of being in a close game. I am very competitive and I love to continually be pushed and challenged to get better. I enjoy being an inspiration to my younger siblings who also play competitive sports. It has been a dream of mine since I started playing at 5 years old to eventually move on and play at a higher level.
I'm a captain on my club and school team. The majority of my club team graduated last year. We have a lot of new, younger athletes who look to me for guidance on and off the field. I am a leader during workouts by staying positive and motivating everyone to push past their breaking point. My teammates come to me for advice and questions about softball, school work, and even boys. I organized a fundraiser for a local community that had recently been hit by a tornado. People donated clothes, household items, and money.
I have a consistent workout schedule throughout the week. Monday-Wednesday-Friday I do cardio and circuits. Tuesday and Thursday, I lift before softball practice. During the summer, I attend regular, weekly workouts along with practice 5 days a week and tournaments every weekend. I try and maintain a healthy diet and lifestyle. I recently attended Lauren Chamberlain's hitting camp and plan to attend several other camps this summer.
I have volunteered at the local Masonic Lodge and helped serve our community breakfast.
I helped coach a little league softball team in my hometown.
I volunteered to work the concession stand during basketball games.
During the summer, I work at our football camps and scrimmages and I am also a football manager.
I enjoy doing things for others and being a reliable person in our community.
