Personal Highlights

Along with having two jobs to help fund running races, shoes, etc., I also volunteer at a local cat shelter for 2-4 hours a week. Love the outdoors, kayaking, running, biking, and cliff jumping.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Running has been my passion since I started cross country in middle school, and to this day running has made and shaped me as the person I am. I think continuing into college will help shape my personality as I continue to do what makes me happy.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

As a junior I was the captain for our Cross Country team and at the same time vice president for the National Honor Society. I work to promote my leadership skills by directing friends in positive ways and other people I meet.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I actively train for the sports I play on and off season to prepare for the next year while advancing myself physically through weightlifting. I also maintain a healthy diet to produce the best in my abilities and make sure I am healthy as possible.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I volunteer weekly at a local cat shelter. I have been helping there since April 1st, 2015 and have gone at any time I possibly can to help. This is important to me because I love animals and I find it best to help in any way I can.
