Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I want to be recruited into colleges sports because I love the game of basketball, I have been playing it for 13 years and its been my passion since a young age. I feel like the amount of time, effort, blood, sweat and tears into it I should put my skills to use. I also love being a part of a team and having something to keep me inline, as in schooling I know I'll work much harder in the classroom to keep my grades up and be eligible.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I was captain my of my teams since a young age up until sophomore year when I got into full time varsity and was almost a coach on the court while being the point guard and shooting guard. I took time after practice to talk to my teammates one on one and see what I can do to make our team better. I pulled some of the younger girls from the Junior Varsity team that I saw with a lot of potential and showed them things that I have learned to better them and myself. My senior year I was picked unanimously for the love of the game award because they all knew how much time and effort I put into the sport and into my team.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

As am athlete I was taught at a very young age to eat healthy as possible to fuel your body with nutritious food to play at top performance. Also, getting enough sleep and not pushing your body too hard, so knowing when to take your rest days and how to recover properly.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I have worked as coaching the Sequim Youth Basketball and Soccer teams for 5 years as a volunteer. Also referred Sequim Middle Schools basketball and volleyball games as well helping coach the 7th grade volleyball teams while playing my own high school sport.
