Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I love running and have dedicated myself to the sport for 5 years. I'm not ready for my competitive running days to end. I love the competition and have made many friends in the sport.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I fill-in for the Cross Country coach during "blackout" periods and lead the team in workouts. I mentor the younger runners at my school, who all look up to me. I'm small in stature, but big in heart.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I've learned to eat right, to stretch often, get enough sleep, and, most importantly, when to rest.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I work at a retirement center in the dining room, serving seniors their meals. I enjoy being around them and I'd like to think I'm making a difference in their lives, having someone to share stories with and making them smile. I have also volunteered many hours to help with projects that benefit Honor Flight and the DAR. Additionally, I help serve lunches to needy kids in the summer and help them stay away from drugs as an active member of Snowflurries.
