Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I am very competitive and thrive on situations that challenge me to rise above limits I never thought possible. I feel like playing sports in college will help me maintain accountability, discipline, goal setting, flexibility, determination, positive attitude and faith in God which will help me to become a successful person in my career, personal life and service to others.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I have participated in adopt a youth program as a role model and mentor to young boys through athletics and character building activities. I have mentored and spent time with youth on a Mission trip to New Orleans, LA

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I am dedicated to improving my performance, confidence, and leadership through consistent fitness group training at a state of the art athletic facility with a trainer. During the school year I work out at 5:30 a.m. before school. At the end of the day following my school workout, I train with personal position coaches. I feel this type of accountability helps me push through mental and physcial barriers. Nutrition and balance of activities outside of sports also play a vital part in maintaining a good mental frame of mind.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am actively involved in my church youth group and have participated in numerous outreach community missions working with under privileged, homeless, and children. I have participated in church camps, retreats, and life groups. I have volunteered in my community to provide services such as mowing, cleaning, painting and building to those in our community who are in need. Service in my community is important to me because it has taught me the importance of giving a person your time. Time is one of the most valuable things you can give someone because it is often abused and used selfishly.
