Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Sports are a way for me to connect with people and relax. I have been swimming for 11 years of my life and I cannot imagine how my life would have changed if I had not swam. It's always been fun for me to swim and I just want to continue that enjoyment into my future and college career

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

Coming from a small community, everyone knows everyone, but for those new to the swim team, I try to take them under my wing and make them feel comfortable. Whether it be incoming freshman or new swimmers to my club team, I know how it feels to be a new swimmer and I just want them to feel the same enjoyment I do when swimming. As for school, I am a NHS officer and one of the top in my class. I always strive to help those who are struggling and I try to talk to just about everyone. I also cantor at church.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

In this past year I've gotten very strict with how I maintain my body and what I eat as well. I have cut out major parts of my diet that I used to eat every day and I try to work out at least once a day. I'm always looking to better myself, but making sure to do it in the healthiest way possible

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

Being in NHS this past year has really opened my eyes to the enjoyment and thrill you get when you do service. That being said, I have taken up singing in my church on Sundays and I even help out at Matthew 25 Ministries on occasion. I sing at benefit concerts and have been involved with a choir that has raised thousands of dollars for the Alzheimer's Association. Nothing beats that feeling of self- accomplishment when you finish a job like that and knowing that what you're doing is going to a good cause just makes you feel so euphoric. I love it.
