Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I have played competitive travel sports since I was 7. Rarely have I ever been the biggest, fastest, or oldest (actually I am one of the youngest kids in my class). I believe in hard work to be the best you can. I want to continue that in college and hopefully in return receive a great team and some academic support in college.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

On the field, I have worked closely with our Head Baseball coach during and off season to help raise expectations for the team/players to set the tone for next year workouts, practices and games.

Off the field, I have been the proponent staying away from alcohol and drugs, which has made me unpopular at times. I have remained committed to this and have been able to move a number of my teammates and friends to the same stance.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I believe in continually training throughout the year and as I stated above I try to keep my body clean from outside influences. In the classroom, I have been on the honor roll multiple semesters. I would like to say I am great student, but in reality I work hard to get the grades that I have received and wish they could be better.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

The two community services that I have been involved with throughout high school are High School Heroes and Special Olympics.

High School Heroes are mentors to elementary and mostly under privileged youth and I hope to make a difference and add school spirit to their lives.

Special Olympics allows me to help those less fortunate than me and give them the feel of athletic accomplishment.
