Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
  • I love being a coxswain. It would be a dream of mine to continue coxing in college because it makes me feel as though I am helping others accomplish what they think is impossible. After college, I want to coach a team, so that I can continue helping others pursue their dreams as well.
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.
  • The main idea of being a coxswain is being a leader. You have to be able to be there for your team. Outside of crew, my friends call on me for help when they are in need of it. They trust me to give them advice. I lead them to the right answer.
Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.
  • When being a coxswain, I have not had to do much working out. What I do to stay healthy is to eat right. Salad and protein are a balanced part of my diet. Eating healthy is how I maintain my weight.
Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.
