I love playing volleyball, the team atmosphere, and hope to earn scholarships to help pay my way through college.
This Fall, I led a Toys For Tots drive and a Food Drive for Food Bank of North Alabama with my HS team - we donated more than 40 toys and 260lbs of food!
I am a youth leader in our school's FCA chapter, attending leadership training in 2019-2020 and mentoring younger athletes in all sports.
On my club teams since I was 15, as Team Captain, I lead discussions in the team group chats to keep all players included and updated on practices and other team events.
At school, I am a very responsible student often called upon by teachers to help teach subject matter during teacher absences (InfoSec I CyberSecurity class), and to assist in the classroom with mentoring other students who are having difficulty with course material (physics, math, science).

I practice solid training year round, starting with stretching, aerobic exercises, strength training, skills and position drills, and focusing on proper form during drills and scrimmages to help prevent injuries. I also maintain proper nutrition and hydration during the season and training. I practice good nutrition year round, and focus during the season on ensuring I eat proper energy foods before and during practices and especially during long tournaments for stamina.
I support our community by volunteering to help with projects for a local Senior Assisted Living and Memory Care Facility during the holidays to provide entertainment, engagement, and fun for the residents.I also help with free volleyball clinics (April-Sep) to help build the next set of volleyball players to join us in the future. I support my school by helping set up and maintain the JV and Varsity Volleyball Team Websites to keep parents and community updated on our Teams' activities. I volunteer in the community through various service projects for our deployed military troops, local area food banks, disaster recovery (tornadoes), and girls athletic/mentoring activities (Girls On The Run of North Alabama, Toys For Tots drive, FCA) to help make others' lives better and to help improve girls' confidence, attitudes, and physical conditioning.
Girl Scouts - Silver Award - Project "Making Sleeping Mats for the Homeless" 2016 - I lead a team project to make 5 sleeping mats from woven grocery bags for our local homeless people (donated through the Downtown Rescue Mission) to give the people living on the streets a dry, clean and more comfortable thing to sit or sleep on.
Girl Scouts - Bronze Award - Writing letters to Servicemen 2015 - Our troop wrote letters to Service members deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan to let them know we appreciate their service and that people here at home are thinking of them, especially during the holiday season.
