Personal Highlights

I think my personal highlight is when I pushed myself after tearing my ACL. I came into my junior year excited about being the starting setter on my varsity team. Well I wasn't so lucky. I tore my ACL while warming up for our very 1st Non-District Game. I was very upset that I was going to miss sports my whole junior year.

The Doctor gave me some good news though. He said if I work really hard and push myself I could be ready by the time my 2 main sports start ( Track & Softball) That would mean having surgery right away. I went a head and had the surgery a couple days later. I don't think I realized how painful it was going to be. The hope of getting better by track/softball season pushed me to get through the pain.

To make a long story short, I kept going to therapy and worked out as much as possible. I was determined to come back better and stronger. I did, I PR'd in discus, shot put, and on the softball field.
