Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I want to be recruited to run in college because I love the limits that my sport takes my body to. It pushes me to things I think that I will never overcome, but then I do and that honestly shows me that I can overcome anything. I believe that God has blessed me with a great ability to run and I would love keep pushing myself and bettering myself with the talent I was given.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I have had the opportunity to become one of the three captains of my high school track team and with this responsibility came having to make sure things that needed to be done got done. For instance the mats and the tent had to get on and off the bus every meet and this always didn't happen. So at the end of the day it was me picking up mats that I didn't always have to carry, but it needed to get done. Off the track I have been in plenty of group projects and I have learned that you can't just do the project on your own. I have learned to include all members and encourage them to get the project to work out with the best result.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Healthy athletic performance to me, as a student-athlete, is pursued by making sure one that give my body the right ingredients to get it to work to the best that it possibly can. I make sure to eat healthy as much as I can and to drink plenty of water. I have learned that without good nutrition our body will want to throw up on you. I make sure that I rest on the days I need to rest because my body will need it to work with the most intensity that I can give. As a student-athlete I am different than just a regular student and that means I have to treat my body differently than a regular student.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

Around the community I have been able to help at my mother's elementary school, Tavola Elementary, where she works at a teacher. These efforts are important to me because the opportunity to help people is something to take advantage and be a blessing to others.
