Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Sports have other advantages besides teaching teamwork and keeping you in shape. Basketball has given me the opportunity to travel around the country and the Caribbean. It has given me the opportunity to meet and compete against other players from all over the world. I would love to represent my college or university on similar platforms.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I believe that leaders mostly lead by example. I try to be the hardest working athlete at practice and the hardest working participant in all my extra curricular activities.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

As a member of Heroes and Cool Kids we must make a pledge to not use drugs and alcohol. This way we do not appear hypocritical to the younger kids we mentor. I try my best to monitor what I eat and I properly schedule my workouts and meals so as to make time for schoolwork etc.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I belong to two organizations that best reflect my commitment to the community. Heroes and Cool Kids is a youth mentoring program where High School students return to their middle schools to mentor younger kids on bullying, alcohol and drug abuse. Jack and Jill of America is a national organization that keeps gives African American students the opportunity to learn more about their culture and participate in aiding their community through food/clothing drives and conferences.
