Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.
-
Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.
-
Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I love helping the community in many ways. One thing I have done and still continue to do is teach swim lessons to kids ages 2 to 18. I was able at the age of 12 to do this with Flying Fish Swim Team and got over 300+ Community service hours doing this. Later I was able at the age of 16 to partner with the YMCA and help teach free swim lessons to low income families through a program called Safety Around the Water (SAW). Another thing I was able to do with a group of friends was we talk to the mayor of Jacksonville (Alvin Brown) and got him to start an inceptive called Waterproof Jax that provided free swim lessons to low income families at their local community pools. This is important to me because living all around low income families and in Florida we see a lot kids get bored and then they go to the nearest place to cool off during the summer like a pond or lake. Most times these kids don't know how to swim and without a parent there or help they drowned. I was tired of seeing this on the news almost every night and wanted to change it.
