Personal Highlights

My disabled mother taught me as much as she could up until I started playing at Boys and Girls Club in fifth grade. I played two years at Jenifer Junior High in Lewiston Idaho. I am willing to playing any position! I am a hard worker both on the court and off the court with academics. I will do whatever is needed to support my teammates! Currently at Genesee Jr/Sr High School in Genesee Idaho. We are currently in Volleyball season. I have started playing this sport for the first time this year. I am currently on C team. I wanted to stay active while I wait for basketball season to start. Also wanted to try a new sport. Something that would help me with jumping and blocking for basketball. I am willing to do what ever I need to do to help me team get the job done. I know volleyball is also a communications sport. This helps me learn to communicate better with my teammates. Both on and off the court! Helps build trust with each other as well. Building relationships with teammates prior to basketball season. So come basketball season we can help support each other when we may have an off night or we get down on ourselves. We can help support each other and help each other get ourselves back in the game both mentally and physically.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

My future plans are to become a coach for basketball or become a sports trainer. Only way for me to become a basketball coach is to get into college, to become a better ball player and learn from great coaches. This way it will help me be the best at coaching. To be perfectly honest, the only way I will be able to attend a college no matter if it is Division 1 or a NAIA school is to be recruited for sports. I know I have a long way to go but I think with hard work and willingness to learn I can become a better player. Good enough to help a team. Being a teammate is more than just being on a team. It is the willingness to do what ever it take to help your team in every situation. As their is NO I in TEAM!!!

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

As our society is using more and more social media. We must show others how to be respectful both on the internet and in person. I try to not allow people on my social media to become bullies and explain to them right off they need to stop acting this way. However, doing it in a respectful way. As I do the same on the court. Not everyone is raised up with manners as I have been. Being born in the south with a mother who was raised in a military home. My mother raised me to have manners and use them. I try and explain to my teammates if someone falls no matter what team they are on help them up. If you knock someone down be respectful and check on them. Yes, this is a game however you can still be a competitor and have sportsmanship!

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I have volunteered at my local library during the summer reading program. I put in thirty-one hours in during a six week program. I love to help others. I was unable to help this summer due to my mothers health. But look forward to getting back with them next summer to help. Also am a member of my schools S.O.D.A ( Students Against Drugs & Alcohol) club.
