Very excited to play college volleyball.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Playing sports in college is a way for me to move on to the next level, it is a way for me to improve my game and skill. College sports are the most exciting thing about college and I want to get the most out of my college experience. Also playing in college is a way for me to get a great education for my future. Alongside playing volleyball I can also get a college degree. As much as I love playing volleyball I can not play forever, and when that day comes I will be able to rely on my degree.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I am a captain at my high school team.
I lead my high school team to first place in conference.
I help coach the girls volleyball program in my school.
I am in chicago scholars foundation.
I am nominated for Posse foundation.
I am in ambassadors club.
I am in National Honors Society.
I am one of the leading Seniors in my class with one of the highest GPA.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I regularly visit the gym since the 8th grade. Over the years I have developed my own gym workout that works not just for staying in shape, but also for playing volleyball. I am a big fan of homemade food as it tastes great but also is good for you. When playing volleyball I concentrate on what i need to learn and how i can get better, because there is always room for improvement.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

In my local church I help out the priest run the mass, I teach the younger boys how to be altar boys. Also when the church organizes events I help them out. Every year the church organizes Ukrainian Independence days, this event is over a course of 2 days. Sometimes I am asked to help out preparing and serving the food at these events. Also I volunteer at my high school during the summer running the orientations. At these orientations we assist the teachers and staff with the incoming students as well as their parents. In some cases we are asked to escort them around the school, or give presentations in front of a group of students. When the incoming freshman arrive it is our job to make sure they feel comfortable and safe in a new educational environment.
