Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I want to be recruited in college so I can share and use my talents to benefit myself and others. Sports are a great way of meeting new people and improving and finding your strengths and weaknesses that could affect you later in life. Diving makes me stronger physically and mentally, and most importantly makes me happy. Sports are a great way to take my mind off academics and issues I may face. The more challenges and opportunities I can encounter will help me become a better person overall physically and mentally.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

In my athletics, I have always encouraged others whether it was in my gymnastics career, or now during weightlifting and diving. At my dive club, I always try to take initiative and lead during dry land so everyone can improve. At my school, I also participate in many clubs that help improve my leadership skills including student council, thespians, SWAT/SADD, and applying to the Youth Leadership Pasco program.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

To stay active and healthy in the sports I participate in, I always focus on my nutrition and strength. I try to eat the most wholesome foods I can find, and track my macronutrients to ensure I am getting the energy I need. I incorporate strength and endurance training into my regular activities so I can reduce and prevent soreness and injuries. If I am injured or sick, I will rest until I am approved to participate again in my sports to prevent further damage.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

To stay involved in service in my community, I join clubs, volunteer, and take all opportunities given to me. I participate in SWAT/SADD, thespians, student council, volunteering at local places, and of course my sports. All of these activities give me the opportunity to get active and make a difference in my school and community. I also recently applied to the Youth Leadership Pasco program which will allow me to become even more involved in service in my community.
