Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Since I was 5, I've always known I wanted to play soccer in college. I have a true passion for soccer and am willing to train harder and push myself. Soccer has a major role and my life and I don't know what I would do if I went to college and wasn't playing soccer.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

On my club team, I am the captain. On the team, I am vocal and make sure my teammates are doing the right thing. At anytime if I think something needs to happen, I will say encouraging words because yelling at them in a rude manor will separate us. It's important to use encouraging words to allow the team to work together and play better knowing their captain has faith in them. Off the field, I also display qualities of a leader. In 8th grade, I was the Vice President of the National Junior Honor Society. Also that year, I was a vice president of our student council. I was over all activities related to bringing school spirit. I believe I contain leadership qualities on and off the field.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

As a student-athlete, our school has a training program for athletes and I take it as a course. There we train through the day, building muscle through squats, bench press, power clean, and more exercises. There we learn proper form for different movements and are able to gain strength and agility. That class has helped me tremendously as I have continuously been training hard and improving.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

For the Holidays, I went to a fire station that was packaging items and canned goods to give to the homeless. I separated the toys and unloaded them on a table for kids to come and pick them out. It's always important to give to those less fortunate. I am very blessed and I consider it a honor and a duty to help those who are in need.
