Personal Highlights

Captain of my swim team, volunteer assist age group swimmers at DBS Speed team, active in school spirit club.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I have been swimming since age 6 and I enjoy the team experience. I believe it is important to be part of something larger than yourself and working together for a goal.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I lead by example at school and at the pool. I am the only male senior on our swim team and mentor the younger swimmers by my actions and words.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I am committed to a healthy lifestyle and I achieve that by eating healthy, getting enough sleep and maintaining healthy personal relationships.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

During the recent Hurricane Matthew I spent the day at our neighborhood community center assiting the many senior citizens filling sandbags and loading their cars. I feel a responsibility to my community as I am able to help in areas where some may not be able to help themselves.
