Coaches Statement
"Paige Miller is an athlete that strives for excellence and perfection. She understands that to achieve her goals and our team goals there are many, many days of 100-110% effort. She loves every challenge that she faces and pushes herself to conquer those challenges. Paige started playing water polo a few years ago, however has become one of the best female water polo athletes in Central Oregon. Paige is a pleasure to coach; she loves to learn, is eager to teach her teammates, understands the power of a team, is dedicated to her team, and helping everyone be successful. Paige is a captain this year and is truly a respected and loving leader. I hope she is able to achieve her dream of playing on a team in college." - Heather Brenda, Head Coach, Summit Storm, September, 2016

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I love the sport of water polo. Knowing this is my last year of High School play makes me kind of sad, and I am not ready to give up something that I love so much. I would love to be able to learn and grow and play at the next level.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I am currently a team captain of my returning State Champion water polo team. It is important that as a leader, I encourage and support my teammates both in the water and in school. I especially like being a mentor for the younger girls as they learn more about the sport of water polo.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I keep myself fit in the water and in school by making sure I eat healthy, get enough sleep and do not participate in any unhealthy behaviors. Good school and water polo performance are extremely important to me, so I keep my focus on doing my best in both things.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

*Compass Church Youth Group: Serving homeless population through "City Impact San Francisco" in the Tenderloin District; March 2015 and March 2016
*Compass Church: Youth assistant during morning services
*CRAFT cat rescue: Working at no-kill feline shelter - cleaning facility, grooming and helping with cats, and promoting adoptions during adoption fairs.
*Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch: Working with rescued horses, cleaning duties, maintaining property, and writing thank you letters to donors.
