Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I've had a passion for soccer since my very first practice. I love being on a team that's going to push me to be my absolute best. I want to be recruited to continue doing what I love most.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

My Freshman year I was chosen to be captain of the JV team, which had seniors on the squad. Sophomore and junior year I encouraged my teammates to do off season training which I'm helping plan this year with my Captain. Off the field I have helped mentor new students with the exception of my senior year. This is because I was chosen to mentor the freshman students who had special needs, which had a huge impact on me. I plan on helping with the special olympics and I'll be encouraging my peers to help out as well.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I pursue "healthy athletic performance" by ensuring I maintain a healthy nutrition and I'm well hydrated. I also prevent injuries by stretching everyday and focusing on workouts that will help prevent common injuries among girls. To this day I have yet to be injuries and I will continue my routines to ensure I'm at my highest level of health on game days.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am involved in many different services concerning my community. I volunteer to help with bible study every Sunday at my church, West Side Family Church. I am also currently planning a 5K to raise donations for Children's Mercy.
