Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I have found that sports keep me focused on my studies, maintains fitness with proper exercise/healthy eating habits, and provides a team culture with individuals that feel the same way and support each other, on and off the court. I would like to continue this in my college years.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

Along with a few tennis team members and friends from my National Honor Society we hold various fundraisers throughout the year to raise money and awareness for those community members who are in need of food - Back Pack Program for the Hungry in Marlboro/Milton. Along with raising money we fill the backpacks with food weekly. On the court, I serve as Captain of the girls tennis team

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Being a Student-Athlete is a balancing act of academics, athletics, friends, family and community outreach. I have been overwhelmed at times trying to do all those things but through maturity, I realize that planning and prioritizing helps in achieving success in these areas.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

Volunteered as a Guardian on the Hudson Valley Honor Flight 09/10/2016 - guardian for a Korean War Veteran trip to Washington DC, participate in Hudson Valley Honor Flight Meet & Greets. These events are a chance for me to give back and say thank you to those who gave so much for our Country. My grandfather was a Korean War Veteran and was my inspiration to get involved with Veteran groups.
