I have always been a very dedicated person for everything I do. No matter what it is, sports, academics, or just other random hobbies. I always strive to be my best and do not stop thinking about whatever I am focused on until I have become the best that I can be. For example, I played baseball for 11 years up until I was 14, when I failed to make the high school team. I worked as hard as I could preparing for the second tryout, which was 3 months after the first. After the tryout, which I thought went pretty well, I failed to make the team again. Knowing that I would no longer be able to pursue my dream of playing baseball for a living, I began to think of other sports I could play. I started to take up the game of golf because my grandpa was an avid golfer. I quickly fell in love with the sport and decided to try out for my high school golf team. Only one month after I first picked up a golf club, I tried out for the team, and to no avail I missed the cut once again. Being my resilient self, I asked the coach if I could try out again. He agreed (after some persuasion) and I played nine holes against some of the other kids who were already on the team. After the round, I managed to defeat two of those kids, and was told that I finally made the team. My first year of playing golf I dedicated myself to practicing everyday, and saw vast improvements. I went from being the number three player on Junior Varsity, to the number one player on Varsity the following year. Still unsatisfied, I continued to work as hard as I could, and my Junior year I won the Sea View League MVP. I still dedicate myself to practicing as much as I can and I try to become the best player I can be and put all my focus and heart into everything I try to accomplish, knowing that if I do I will succeed. Never Ever Give Up!
I want to become a professional golfer so I want to go to a college that can help me become a better player, expose me to more tournament situations, and to gain more experience.
To stay healthy, I like to stay fit. I recently joined a gym and if I'm not on the range practicing or on the course playing I am at the gym working out. I have also changed my eating habits so that each day I receive a specific amount of protein, carbs and vegetables or fruit. I have the mind set that if I work out, and eat right I will become an even better golfer.
